Building Your Gaming Station
While growing up, I was constantly told that video games will rot your mind and much more banter of that nature, but that didn’t stop my love for Video Gaming. Video games are no longer just a means of entertainment but also serve as a means as income for some individuals (e-Sports). It’s a common misconception that only guys play video games but this is very wrong. In this day and age, nearly everyone plays video games; a lot of females play video games really well these days, even people we consider old and elderly are forces to be reckoned with in the gaming world. So if you are a dude or gal interested in getting equipment to play video games, this post is for you. In this post, I will enlighten you on how you can create your very own game station. Items needed to create your own game station include (in no particular order):
- A Desk: When you get your console, screen etc, your aren’t going to put them on the floor, you will need something to support your equipment and also act as a store for all your gaming accessories, this is where the desk comes into play. You can keep your console and screen on top and your gaming accessories like your controllers, headphones etc in the drawers.
- A Console: Well, this is a no brainer; you need a console (or a gaming PC) to play your favourite games. There are various consoles and PCs to choose from but the most popular are the Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo. You can’t really go wrong with any choice; they all have great games to choose from so it all balls down to your preferences. If you do have the cash to spend, I would advise you to get as many as you can so you can get the best of all worlds.
- A Screen: Another no brainer; you need a screen to be able to interact with your consoles interface and play games so a screen is vital. There are plenty screens options to choose from with various screen sizes but I would advise you to invest in a Monitor, why? Well to mention a few advantages: They are usually cheaper than their TV counterparts, they are easier to move around and much more.
- A Controller: An essential part of any console, this is the bridge between you and your console. All new consoles come with a default controller when you buy them but these aren’t very stylish and consoles only come with one controller, so you might want to get an extra controller suited to your taste.
- Games: Well, you can’t have a console and just stare at it; you need video games to play on your console. There are two options when buying video games; you can either buy digital or physical copies of your game. Each has their advantage and disadvantages but in my opinion; digital games are a better investment over physical games, click here to check out my post on Digital Games over Physical Games.
- Accessories: Gaming Accessories are items that can improve your overall gaming experience; these include Charging Docks, Console Stands, USB Cables, Gaming Headphones and much more.
