Inspired heavily by the Commes des Garcons Play collaboration with Converse, DL$G’s The Saint is similar to the pieces aesthetic but with my own unique spin on the well renowned design. These customs feature a hand painted white-eyed heart on the medial side of the shoes. The integrated eyes depict a saint who’s heart is pure and this theme is communicated by focusing on color imagery and the connotations associated with white – Purity, Innocence and Warmth.
