Putting Together the Perfect Outfit

Constructing the perfect outfit for the perfect occasion can seem like a daunting task for some while people have developed a talent at it. If you find it difficult to combine your clothing items to create that awesome outfit for your occasion, this post is for you. When putting together an outfit here are a few things you will need to consider.

• • The Occasion: 
    This is a crucial part which most people neglect; the occasion you are going for will determine the look you will go for. Are you going to hang out with friends, going shopping, going to class or just taking a leisurely stroll with that special someone, the look you would be going for would be an informal one. A simple tee, hoodie or sweatshirt, a nice pair of jeans or trackpants and a pair of sneakers would do you just fine (and a jacket when it’s cold). Do feel free to switch it up anytime but no need to overdo it. But what if you are going to a dinner or you have a date with someone, you will be going for a semi-formal look. Feel free to experiment here, you really can’t go wrong. A nice jacket, a nice shirt or tee, jeans or trousers and a pair of your sneakers or semi-formal shoes and you are good to go. What if it’s a job interview or project presentation, you will want to look as formal as you can, you can always play it safe and go with a simple suit and your favorite formal shoe.

    No one wants to gear up and get caught in some unfortunate weather condition like heavy rain, snow, harsh sunlight etc. So before you plan your outfit check and take note of the weather forecast for that day. “To be fore warned is to be fore armed” they say, know if you will need to carry an umbrella, wear a cap or include a jacket into your outfit.
  • Comfort:
    As important as it is to look good, it’s also important to feel comfortable. As you pick the clothing items for your outfit, keep in mind how comfortable they are, if you don’t feel comfortable in it, you are better off picking something else.
  • Color Scheme:                                                                                                                                                             It’s important that the colors of your outfit match, you wouldn’t want to end up looking like rainbow on your occasion. If you are planning to color block, this tip can be ignored.
  • Don’t Forget to Accessorize:
    Accessories are an important part of every outfit; they can turn a plain and boring outfit into an outstanding one. When putting together your outfit, don’t forget to include your rings, bags, chains, necklaces etc.
  • Inspect the Outfit before Wearing:
    You can prepare your outfit mentally and on the day of reckoning, you find out the outfit doesn’t work out as good as you thought or you discover a tear or fault in one of your clothing items leaving you disoriented and disorganized. This can be avoided by inspecting and trying on the outfit before the occasion.

With these tips, you should be having no trouble building that perfect outfit for that perfect occasion.
